Set up a Pixlbit panel

From box to first message — about ten minutes. Nothing you do here can damage the panel; if a step goes wrong, start it again.

1 · Create your account

1. Go to pixlbit.dev and choose Create one under the login form.
2. Pick a username and password, enter your email, and register.
3. Log in — you land on your dashboard. Do this before adding the panel.

2 · Power on the panel

Plug it in and wait about 10 seconds. Text scrolls across the display to show it's ready:

• 192.168.4.1 scrolling → the panel is in its own Wi-Fi hotspot. This is how every new panel starts. Continue to step 3.
• A normal address like 192.168.1.42 → it's already on a Wi-Fi network. Skip to step 4.

3 · Connect it to your Wi-Fi

Pick the method for your device. All of them end with the panel restarting and joining your network.

Android, Windows or Mac — Bluetooth from the browser

1. Open pixlbit.dev/ble.
2. Enter the PIN 1234 (the default; change it later).
3. Connect to Panel, then pick your panel from the list — the name matches the label.
4. Scroll to Wi-Fi Setup, enter your network name and password, and Connect Panel to Wi-Fi.

iPhone or iPad

Easiest — the Bluefy app: install the free Bluefy browser from the App Store, open pixlbit.dev/ble inside it, and follow the Android steps above.

Without any app:

1. Settings → Wi-Fi, join the network whose name matches your label (password is on the label).
2. If it doesn't appear, tap the name, turn off Private Wi-Fi Address, try again.
3. Open Safari to http://192.168.4.1, log in with admin / led1234.
4. In Wi-Fi Settings, switch to LAN Mode, enter your network details, and save.
5. The panel restarts and shows its new address. Reconnect your iPhone to your normal Wi-Fi.

4 · Claim the panel to your account

1. At pixlbit.dev/app, open the Panels section and use the Claim panel box.
2. Enter the serial from the label — it looks like MGW-XXXXXXXX.
3. Within a minute the panel appears with a green dot. If not, re-check the serial and that it's powered and online.

5 · Send your first message

1. In Send a message, type your text.
2. Tap your panel under Send to (or All panels).
3. Open Speed, brightness, effect & mode if you want to tweak those, then Send.
4. It's on the panel within about 10 seconds.

Troubleshooting

Panel isn't in the list

• Wait a full minute (it checks in every 10s).
• Confirm it's powered and your Wi-Fi works.
• Re-check the serial against the label.

Bluetooth won't connect

• Chrome or Edge only; on iPhone/iPad use the Bluefy app.
• Get within ~10 m of the panel.

Still showing 192.168.4.1 after a restart

• The Wi-Fi details didn't save — redo step 3 and double-check the password.

Sent a message, nothing changed

• Give it 10 seconds.
• Check the panel shows a green dot.
• Make sure the right panel was selected.

Clock shows the wrong time

• Set the panel's time zone from its ⋮ menu in the Panels section.
